1. Partial kidney tumor removal
On August 9, 2026, the Da Vinci Xi was used to assist with the removal of a kidney tumor, also known as a partial nephrectomy.
During this procedure, the doctor removes the part of the kidney containing the tumor while preserving as much healthy kidney tissue as possible. The robotic system helps the doctor perform the procedure with greater precision through smaller incisions.
2. Gallbladder surgery for gallstones
