On Friday afternoon (Sept 12), RS Mandaya Royal Puri hosted a collaborative meditation event with Bali Usada under the theme “Mindfulness & Healing.” Carrying the spirit of Healthy Mind, Healthy Body through Meditation, the event created a warm and mindful atmosphere while providing participants with valuable experiences in learning and practicing meditation.

Fundamental Meditation Guidance from the Instructor

During the session, a meditation instructor from Bali Usada shared in-depth explanations about the fundamentals of meditation. Through an educational video presentation, participants were introduced to awareness exercises, breathing techniques to train focus, and step-by-step demonstrations of basic meditation movements.

The instructor emphasized the importance of posture during meditation. Various sitting positions were introduced, including the full lotus and half lotus, along with the use of meditation cushions to support the spine. For those with knee or back issues, chairs were also offered as an alternative meditation posture.

Active Guidance and Participant Enthusiasm

Throughout the session, the meditation instructor actively approached participants individually, ensuring they understood the correct techniques and postures. Participants followed the guidance with focus and enthusiasm, creating a highly engaging atmosphere. Short breaks were also provided between practices to allow participants to rest and stay comfortable.

Beyond the practice, participants also gained insights into the philosophy of meditation. The instructor explained the concept of five energies that form the body, such as food and thoughts, as well as the four layers of the body, which include the physical body, chakra body, and other energy aspects. This knowledge helped participants understand that meditation goes beyond relaxation, serving as a journey to harmonize both body and mind.

Through this event, RS Mandaya Royal Puri and Bali Usada aimed to help participants experience the benefits of meditation for both mental and physical health. With consistent mindfulness practice, meditation is believed to promote inner balance, calm the mind, and enhance overall quality of life.
