Mandaya Puri Hospital Inaugurates Integrated Sinus & Snoring Center with Modern and Minimally Invasive Technology

RS Mandaya Puri Resmikan Pusat Terpadu Sinus & Dengkuran, Hadirkan Teknologi Modern dan Minimal Invasif

Mandaya Royal Puri Hospital officially launched its Integrated Sinus and Snoring Center on Saturday (Oct 4), marking a significant step in delivering modern and minimally invasive ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) services in Indonesia. Through this center, Mandaya offers innovative solutions for patients suffering from various ENT conditions, including chronic sinusitis, tonsillitis, and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), which is often associated with snoring.

This new center was established through a strategic collaboration with Centro Businco, a leading ENT center from Italy that has treated over 9,000 international patients, including football legend Francesco Totti and world-renowned singer Andrea Bocelli.

The inauguration was attended by Mandaya Royal Puri’s ENT specialists such as dr. Abdillah Hasbi Assadyk, Sp.THT-BKL, MPH; dr. Dewi Lizanty, M.Kes, Sp.THT-BKL; and Prof. dr. Abdul Kadir, Ph.D, Sp.THT-KL(K), MARS, along with sleep disorder neurologist dr. Dinda Larastika Riyanto, Sp.N, RPSGT. The presence of Prof. Lino Di Rienzo Businco, founder and director of Centro Businco Italy, added further significance to the event.

A New Approach to ENT Treatment at Mandaya Royal Puri

One of the key technologies introduced at the center is balloon sinuplasty, a revolutionary procedure that uses a tiny balloon inserted into the nasal passages to open blocked sinus pathways without major surgery. Compared to conventional methods, this technique offers significantly lower risk of bleeding, minimal pain, and faster recovery. The procedure takes only about 15–20 minutes, requires no large incisions, and allows patients to return home the same day.

Another technology available is Quantum Molecular Resonance (QMR), which uses high-frequency electromagnetic waves to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea. QMR works by reducing excess tissue that blocks the airway with precision, without damaging healthy tissue. The process is quick, minimally painful, and produces visible results—enabling patients to breathe more freely and sleep more comfortably.

For patients with tonsillitis, the center provides plasma coblation technology, which utilizes low-temperature plasma energy to remove problematic tissue while preserving healthy tissue. With this method, doctors can perform tonsillotomy—removing only the affected portion of the tonsils while maintaining their natural immune function. Benefits include minimal bleeding, less pain, a much faster recovery compared to conventional surgery, and in some cases, patients can eat within just 3 hours post-procedure.

According to Erwin Suyanto, Public Relations Manager of Mandaya Hospital Group, the introduction of these advanced technologies reflects Mandaya’s commitment to providing modern, safe, and patient-friendly healthcare solutions.

“Patients no longer need to fear major surgery. Minimally invasive technologies such as QMR, balloon sinuplasty, and plasma coblation enable more precise procedures with minimal bleeding and no damage to healthy tissue. Recovery is faster, pain is reduced, and the results significantly improve patients’ quality of life,” said Erwin.

Mandaya ENT Doctors Trained Directly in Italy

The excellence of Mandaya’s Integrated Sinus & Snoring Center is also supported by the expertise of its ENT specialists, particularly dr. Abdillah, who trained directly in Italy with the Centro Businco team under the mentorship of Prof. Lino Di Rienzo Businco. His training was not limited to theory, but also included hands-on experience in performing minimally invasive procedures such as QMR, balloon sinuplasty, and plasma coblation.

With this international training, Indonesian patients no longer need to travel abroad to access advanced, world-class ENT care. All of these services are now available at Mandaya Royal Puri Hospital, equipped with modern facilities, state-of-the-art technologies, and highly competent doctors.

Erwin Suyanto further emphasized that Mandaya’s philosophy goes beyond technology—it is also about ensuring patient comfort.

“We want every patient to feel free from the fear of major surgery. With minimally invasive technologies like QMR, balloon sinuplasty, and plasma coblation, procedures involve far less bleeding, minimal risk to healthy tissue, lighter post-procedure pain, and quicker recovery—while still delivering optimal results,” he explained.

With the inauguration of this Integrated Sinus & Snoring Center, Mandaya Royal Puri Hospital reinforces its position as one of Indonesia’s national referral hospitals in ENT and sleep disorder treatment. By combining minimally invasive technologies, internationally certified specialists, and world-class facilities, Mandaya offers new hope for Indonesian patients to access modern healthcare without leaving the country.
